Rex Athassa is a member of the Leaves in the Wind, a resistance group based in the Auburn Forest that helps the denizens of the region and sabotages the Crown's influence. Rex is a talented archer and tactician for the Leaves. Unlike the other members of the Leaves, Rex is from the luxurious Highlands, particularly hailing from House Athassa. In her childhood, Rex formed a close bond with her older brother, and grew particularly fond of archery. Rex would later flee her home after her brother was exiled to the Industrial District. Though she would try searching for her brother, Rex would ultimately fail and end up stranded in the Auburn Forest. Syndra later took in Rex where she would help the people of the Auburn Forest. Rex plays a key role in the Fruma Storyline, being one of the major allies helping the Player in their quest to get to the Queen. She makes her initial appearance in the second chapter of the Fruma Storyline, Leaves in the Wind, and plays major roles in the third and fifth chapters, The Steel Feather and Blossom of Blades, respectively.
